Hi! I’m Jeffry A. Jeve, an M.Sc. in Marine Science (Marine Biology) student at the Marine Science Institute, University of the Philippines (MSI-UPD).
A graduate of B.Sc. in Biology major in Marine Biology and a former part-time instructor at the Visayas State University. After devoting three years to teaching college and senior high school students (August 2019- June 2022), I decided to engage myself in marine science research at the MSI-UPD (July 22 – present). I’m currently working on a project that aims to map the distribution, abundance, and diversity of soft corals in selected pristine and degraded reefs in the Philippines. Aside from academic and research interests, I’m also creating digital content (e.g., Podcasting, blog writing, photography). Research interests are coral early life stages, coral spawning and soft coral ecology.
